Paycom gets approved hours, already split by earning code.

Payroll downloads one file on the 15th and the last day of the month and imports it. No date trimming, no recoding, no hunting for a missing employee number.

The codes California needs on the pay stub.

Each one comes from your own Paycom earnings list.

Built for the person who runs payroll.

Approved days only

A day with an open request is held, and totals count only approved days.

Gaps before the download

Anyone with hours and no employee code, or a day not yet approved, is listed before the file is made.

Never sent twice

Payroll sees what was already sent for each period.

Setting it up.

The full steps are in the Paycom guide.

  1. Ask your Paycom rep

For the hours import template for your account and your earning code list.

  2. Send us the codes

One for each kind of hours, including the premiums and each kind of leave.

  3. Download each period

Pay, then Payroll, then Download Paycom file, on the 15th and the last day.

  4. Import in Paycom

As you import any hours file today.

Questions from payroll.

Can hours go to Paycom without a file?

Yes, if your Paycom rep enables API access for internal use and issues an API SID and token. Paycom may charge for it, so confirm the fee first.

Does Oh! Thyme pay people?

No. It works out the hours and the pay type of each one, and payroll pays through Paycom as it does today.

Do we need Paycom's own time clock?

No. The hours import carries earnings, not punches, so it works without Paycom Time and Labor Management.
