Approve the week in a minute. Look only where it matters.
Missed breaks, clock-ins outside the site and big changes are listed first. Every other day is approved in one tap, from the phone.
People fix their own mistakes. Big changes still get a second look.
Until the pay period closes, people can move hours between their projects or fix a start or end time. Small fixes save right away. Bigger ones go to the supervisor with the old and new versions side by side.
| The change | Who signs off |
|---|---|
| Move hours between your own projectsThe day's total stays the same | Nobody |
| Change a day by 15 minutes or lessA start, an end or a break | Nobody |
| Change a day by more than 15 minutesOr add time you forgot to clock | Supervisor |
| Change a day that was already approvedThe supervisor sees both versions | Supervisor |
| Change a pay period that is closedIt becomes a correction for payroll | Payroll |
The 15-minute limit is a company setting. The original clock-ins are always kept.
Less chasing for everyone who touches the timesheet.
Supervisors
Problems first. Approve the rest at once. Send a day back with a note, or deny a request and say why: the person sees the reason in their inbox.
Payroll
Pay types already sorted: regular, overtime, double time and premiums for every day. Days with an open request are held, and totals count only approved days.
Crews
Fix a missed punch from the phone. A forgotten clock-out settles in one answer, and nobody decides their own request.
Approvals that hold up later.
Approve in NetSuite if you prefer.
Managers who already approve time in NetSuite can keep doing it. Oh! Thyme reads those approvals back, and a rejection there sends the day back to the person with a note.
Every change, on record.
The audit log keeps who changed what, when and why, with the version before. Approving a request applies its times: a missing punch, a correction or a late offline punch.
Questions about approvals.
Can a supervisor edit someone's time?
They send it back with a note, or clock someone in or out on the Field plan. The person's own record and every change stay in the audit log.
Who approves when there are two managers?
The approver comes from NetSuite: the time approver on the employee if there is one, otherwise the supervisor.
What happens after the pay period closes?
A change becomes a correction for payroll, and payroll decides it. Nothing already sent is overwritten silently.
Do approvers pay for a seat?
No. Supervisors who only approve are free.
