Approve time as a supervisor
Problems first, the rest in one tap, and how to send a day back.
Open the approval list#
On the phone or in the web console, open Approvals. Days with something to look at are listed first:
- a missed, short or late break, with the premium it causes,
- a clock-in outside the site, with the reason the person typed,
- a big change: more than 15 minutes, or a change to a day already approved, with the old and new versions side by side,
- requests: a missed punch, a forgotten clock-out, time off.
Approve the rest at once#
Every day with no problem can be approved together, in one tap.
Send a day back, or deny a request#
Send a day back with a note saying what to fix; the person sees it and submits again. Deny a request and say why; the reason reaches the person's inbox. Nobody decides their own request.
Clock in a crew#
On the Field plan, a supervisor can clock a crew in or out from their own phone, for example when someone left their phone in the truck. The punch records who made it.
Approving in NetSuite instead#
If your managers already approve time in NetSuite, they can keep doing it. Oh! Thyme reads those approvals back, and a rejection there sends the day back with a note.
Who approves#
The approver comes from NetSuite: the employee's time approver if there is one, otherwise their supervisor.
